Legislation will benefit Americans only if it is vigorously enforced

This article is nothing more than a glorification of George Bush who for the last 7 years has avoided any action that might cause us to use less gasoline and thereby require Big Oil to mothball oil supertankers and/or close oil refineries.His mission has been to protect Big Oil by using the Iraq War to ensure that America can continue to remain dependent on cheap imported oil while America runs a record Trade Deficit.
A more appropriate article would be one describing how George Bush has damaged America.
